What a 503A licence means here
Hallandale compounds for individual patients on prescriptions. The Florida Board of Pharmacy, and the boards of states it ships into, are its main regulators; FDA inspects 503A pharmacies but does not hold them to the manufacturing standard it applies to 503B facilities.
How to check any compounding pharmacy
Read the pharmacy name on your vial label, look it up with the board of pharmacy in your state, check FDA’s outsourcing-facility list if it claims 503B status, and search FDA’s warning-letter database by name. Our 503A vs 503B guide explains the difference.
